Review:
Elysia is a beta, one of the first teenage clones. She is programmed to have the same thoughts as a real teenager, but has no actual feelings.
Sold to the Bratton family as a replacement for an older child that went off to collage. They seemed nice at first, but soon finds out that something is not quite right. Elysia starts to have her own feelings, which then lead to rebellion.
The beginning was promising, but for me it didn't live up to my exceptions. The book was a little slow in the middle. Elysia was a interesting character but she seemed cold and I could not relate to her. There is some disturbing material in the book.The book reminded me of Glitch, in a way. Overall it was an enjoyable book, I'll be checking out the second book for sure!

Review:
Aria Rose suffers from amnesia after waking up from an overdose of a drug known as Stic, it's made from the power of mystics only to discover she is engaged to a Thomas Foster, the son of the rival family who her parents hopes will unite the two families. Everyone says she's madly in love with Thomas, but she can't remember anything.
How's she to marry someone she can't even remember being in love with?
When Aria goes to visit Thomas for some answers, all she gets is more questions because before she can even arrive at the Foster's she meets a guy that saves her from a street gang. Mystics are drained of their power, to control them. He's a mystic rebel. She doesn't feel in danger while around him though, she feels just the opposite, Aria feels safe with him. She finds that she can't stop thinking about the mysterious Hunter. She soon finds the closest people around her may be the biggest betrayal of all.
In this futuristic novel the world building was great. Everything was so detailed. I liked how she incorporated global warming and it's effects in the book.
I adored Hunter! He was appealing, brave, gorgeous and intriguing, I can't say enough good things about him.
This was one of those books I couldn't hardly put down, the only time I did was because I had to go to bed. The only negative thing I would say about it is that the ending seemed kind of rushed to me, maybe it was just because I tore through the pages. I'm looking forward to reading the next book, which comes out in 2013!
Recommended for of fantasy, dystopian and romance.

I'm really shocked, I was gone for a day and came back to have been awarded The Booker Award!

Review:
This is a retelling of Jane Eyre, which I have not read, so I can't compare how alike the two are, but I do know what the book is about.
The cover! Yeah it's amazing, but everyone knows how I like my covers! I liked the Gothic atmosphere of it, and the beginning was promising, but it sort of slowed down and went downhill form there. The last half of the book stood at a standstill for me. I was confused and found myself rereading pages back. There was nothing wrong with the heroine Jane. And I liked Dorie somewhat, I liked the interactions between Jane and Dorie. It was the romance didn't do it for me, it was weird and creepy.
Review:
Cursed by the fey war, Jane wears an iron mask to contain the curse and to hide her scar.
She takes up a job for Edward Rochart. Being governess to Mr. Rochart's daughter is not what she thought it would be.
I don't know if I'm going to be picking up the next book.
You might enjoy it if you like classics.
