TGIF #3

Posted by SarahS. with 3 comments

TGIF is a meme hosted by Ginger over @ GReads! Every week there's a question to answer.

Q: Unexpected Books: Which books did you have reservations about reading, but ended up loving once you did?

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Alchemy of Forever (Incarnation, #1)

The Alchemy of Forever by Avery Williams

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Wishlist Wednesday #18

Posted by SarahS. with 1 comment

Wishlist Wednesday, hosted by Pen to Paper to post books that you have been really wanting for a long time.

Title: Touched

Author: Cyn Balog

Release Date: 8/14/12

Nick Cross always listens to the voice in his head. Because if he doesn't? Things can go really, really wrong. Like the day he decided to go off script and saved a girl from being run over . . . and let another one drown. Trying to change the future doesn't work.

But this summer at the Jersey Shore, something's about to happen that Nick never could have predicted. He meets a girl named Taryn and finds out about the Book of Touch. Now the path that he thought he was on begins to shift . . . and there's no way to stop things from happening. Or is there?

In a life where there are no surprises, nothing has prepared Nick for what he's about to discover--or the choice he will be forced to make. . . .

Why I need it...

It sounds creepy, but in a good way! And the cover looks great, that's a plus!

Posted by SarahS. with 2 comments

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab you'r current read

Open the book to a random page

Share with us two (2) "teasers" sentences form that page

Be careful not to include spoilers! (make sure what you share doesn't give away too much! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title of the book so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR pile if they'd like

Today my teaser comes from...

"I can't figure you out," he said, leaning his hand on his chin.

"That's okay," I replied. "I can't figure me out, either."
