Awesome list idea! Cinder did surprise me because I didn't expect it to be as good as it was - I didn't like the cover and was hesitant to even read it.

I agree w/ most of these! The alchemy of forever was so shocking. It ended up being WAY different than I thought it would be. :P

OMG you are one of the few people who have read the Bard Series. They are one of my all-time fav series. I first fell in love with Wuthering High and just had to buy the whole series :)

I thought I'd love Anna and the French Kiss from the summary, but it surprised me that I ended up loving it AS much as I do today.

The Looking Glass Wars is one of my favorite series! I love how unique it is - I've never read an Alice in Wonderland retelling like it before.

Cinder's story surprised me as well - it wasn't like anything I expected, but I loved it a lot.

I'm curious about the other books on this list because I haven't read them. Will have to remedy that immediately!

Cinder was my top surprise of the year so far, although I love Cinderella, I didn't think I'd like this because of the cover.

I can't now wait for The Impossibility of Tomorrow (Incarnation #2). *.*

I read the first Bard Academy from the library and just had to buy the rest because they didn't have them.

I did not expect that from The Looking Glass Wars, a friend told me about them, but I was hesitant to read them. I'm glad I did though! (=

Thank you for all the comments! :)
